Recently when I was visiting a household full of folks from my church that also happens to be a household full of gamers, we got talking for a short while about game-related geektude. Hardly surprising, though it certainly wasn’t the purpose or main portion of my visit. I explained the basic premise and some details of the system and magic cosmology to Legend of the Archons and they indicated that they’d love to do a tabletop playtest. Hmm… I may just have to take them up on that offer. It’d be very interesting seeing a pack of hardcore DnDers trying out an indie game like FATE.

Even more interesting is to see hard core Hero gamers taking on an indie game of any flavor. =) Like mixing oil and water, in fact.

What do you mean this game doesn’t reduce every aspect of a character’s actions to fine-grained dice mechanics?

If you’re interested, you can be in the online version at least. I haven’t done TT in a very, very long time now and I’m really excited at the potential of doing it again.

The work schedule is chaotic and I only know what days I’m working the Friday before the week to come. Maybe after the holidays…?

I’m not planning on starting until after the holidays anyhow. 😛
