SAD: Twilight by *uhlrik on deviantART
Another GK:1943 SAD piece, this time depicting Twilight, the “Shadow-Orphaned Freak.” FYI to GK:1943 peoples – I’ll soon be making prints of these pieces available in my DA storefront.
Anyhow, This one’s a touch looser than yesterday’s, but I still had fun with it.

Very cool! π I like how you captured her anger/attitude that she wears on her sleeve.
Well, if she had a sleeve.

Well, if she didn’t have a ‘tude, she wouldn’t be Twilight. π
Thank you!

It’s a powerful statement — took me aback when I loaded the large version. Everytime I look at it, I just say, “wow.”
She doesn’t appear quite so… grim? stark? in my mind’s eye, FWIW. This sketch seems intimidating to me, a middle-aged white chick. Not sure if it does to anyone else — but I’m gratified that this middle-aged white chick can write for her in a way that makes her seem intimidating enough for an artist to portray her that way, for sure. π
Thank you, Hal. π

I’m glad that you’re satisfied with the results! It’s always a bit of a scary thing wondering if the creator of a character will like the version that I depict.
