If you feel old at 24, you’re doing something wrong. Hell, other than days where my body reminds me, I don’t feel old, and I’m 13 years older than you. o.O
My 30th was a damn good one, all things considered.
Being in federal prison, that is. But the guys got together and we made pizzas and other delectables and played cards and chess and scrabble in the courtyard until 2am.
(Oh, and there was the vodka that a guy had smuggled into the prison for my birthday. That made it more special.)
But, anyhow, I don’t expect you to get locked up and be drinking alcohol, but I do hope you found a way to make it more special. 🙂
Glad to help. Actually, I don’t feel old at all over this. In fact, I don’t feel any older than I did when I was your age. It’s just an interesting thing that’s making me reflect. I’m frankly shocked that I survived past the age of eight, let alone thirty.
Thankee, old timer! One of my favorite pastimes today thus far has been calling up my siblings (I’m hoping to reach all eight of them) just to make them feel old by telling them that their baby brother is now 30. It’s been fantastic good fun thus far.
Later we’re having a big BBQ. Some friends are in from out of town for it too. It’ll be good. 🙂

Congratulations on not simply exploding the moment the sunlight hit your body upon acquiring the new age. I think you’ll do alright with it. Wouldn’t life be weird if lightning bolts started randomly assaulting (not even necessarily in a fatal fashion) everyone in a certain age bracket for some indeterminate amount of time? … Like twenty-four year olds, for instance.

I’ll admit I think my ramshackle gift last year was better and if I had photoshop I’d spend some time whipping one up right now, but alas… Maybe I’ll surprise you with some linkage.

Thank you. You’ve made me feel young again; at 24, I shouldn’t need to be reminded.

The big three-oh.
I hope you did/do something special.

I got only two of my sibs on the phone today, but I did see another two in person plus a slew of other family and friends. It was good.
