The Best Happy Endings Are Sad

So Heroes season 1 ended tonight.

No, no spoilers from me. They’re not necessary.

While I had sussed out most of the major details ahead of time, particularly what Nathan did at the end (and what happened to Parkman), I thought it was most excellent.

One thing that I really liked was that the conflict with Sylar was all about drama and character, not lots of flashy power effects. If anything the tail end of the episode was understated, and that made it better. More superheroic stuff should learn from this.

I love hard moral choices and tarnished people showing enough humanity to redeem themselves.
