Inmate’s Request For Liquor License Denied
There are a lot of stories lately about prisoners sending out odd mail… a trend maybe? Anyhow… I can’t imagine what inspired the guy to think this would work.

I can’t imagine what else the inmates would have to do with their time. The comic magazine Wizard receives so much convict mail they have their own sidebar for it every month (and oh boy do they get some creepy submissions). I remember with some fondness reading on one of the communities a member’s experiences in prison trying his damnedest to game with the resources he was able to muster. Fascinating stuff, by my standards.

One can never truly know until one is there, I suppose, given how little one outside of said situation can truly understand the dynamic of a prison setting.

Agreed. It’s similar to any claim that a person would never get married, be a parent, succumb to the strictures of “the man” or set foot inside of a mall. Who can really know?
